The Widow's Mites
Jesus sat down in the temple area near the treasury. He watched as the people cast their gifts into the treasury. He watched the rich give valuable gifts.
Then Jesus saw a widow put two cents into the treasury.
When Jesus saw this, he called his disciples together and said:
I tell you the truth. This poor widow has put more into the treasury than everyone else. Everyone else gave out of their abundance, but she has given out of her poverty. She has given all she had.
