Entonces, vendr\u00e1n los romanos y nos quitar\u00e1n nuestros puestos de autoridad y nuestra naci\u00f3n&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Pero el sumo sacerdote, Caif\u00e1s, les dijo,<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>&#8220;\u00bfEs que no sabes nada? \u00bfNo crees que es mejor que muera un solo hombre a que perezca toda la naci\u00f3n?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Caif\u00e1s no se dio cuenta, pero no lo dec\u00eda por s\u00ed mismo. Como \u00e9l era el sumo sacerdote aquel a\u00f1o, en realidad estaba profetizando que Jes\u00fas iba a morir por la naci\u00f3n de Israel. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">A partir de aquel d\u00eda, los sumos sacerdotes y los fariseos empezaron a confabular c\u00f3mo podr\u00edan dar muerte a Jes\u00fas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Jes\u00fas, sabiendo esto, no caminaba abiertamente entre los jud\u00edos. Se fue a una ciudad llamada Efra\u00edn, cerca del desierto.
