After the Lord had spoken to His disciples, He led them out to the mount called Olivet. And He blessed them, and then the disciples were astonished as Jesus rose into heaven.
They watched Him ascend into a cloud where He disappeared from their sight. And they worshipped Him.
And while they were still looking into heaven, two angels in human form stood by them in white apparel.
And they said to them,
‘You men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into heaven? Jesus, who was received up into heaven will come again in the same way that you saw him go.’
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet with great joy.
And they were constantly in the temple, blessing God. And they went out and preached everywhere the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs and miracles and wonders that proved that God had anointed them to preach the good news regarding Jesus the Messiah.
