Mothers began bringing their little children to Jesus so that He would lay His hands on them and pray over them.
When the twelve disciples saw this, they rebuked them and told them to stop.
When Jesus saw that His disciples were trying to stop the children from coming to Him, He became indignant and called to His disciples and said,
“Do not stop the little children from coming to me. Don’t you understand that the kingdom of heaven is made up of the childlike?
Listen carefully to this truth, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter into the kingdom.”
Then Jesus took the children in His arms and laid His hands on them and blessed them.
Jesus then began His journey again.
