Early the next morning, Jesus got up and left the home of Simon Peter and headed for a deserted place where He prayed.
Simon Peter and those who were with him began looking for Jesus, and when they found Him, they said,
“Everyone is looking for you.”
Jesus said to them,
“Let’s go into the next town where I can preach, for this is my mission.”
The crowds were also looking for Jesus and when they found Him, they begged him not to leave their city.
But Jesus said to them,
“I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, this is why I was sent.”
Jesus went all around Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, casting out demons and healing all their sicknesses and diseases.
News of Jesus spread into all Syria, the people brought to Jesus all who were sick, those tormented by demons, the epileptic and palsied. And Jesus healed them all. Great crowds began to follow Jesus from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and from beyond the Jordan.
