On His way to Capernaum, Jesus passed through Galilee. He tried to keep His trip private, seeking rest from the crowds.
He began to teach His twelve disciples, saying to them,
“The Son of man will be delivered up into the hands of men.
Let these words really sink into your mind, for the Son of man will be delivered up into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after he is dead for three days, he will rise again.”
The disciples were grieved by what Jesus was telling them.
They did not really understand what Jesus was telling them because it was hidden from them by God. They were afraid to ask Jesus to explain this to them.
