The Two Ways

Jesus said:

Enter in by the narrow gate. Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter that gate.

Narrow is the gate and straight is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

By their fruits you will know them. Do men gather grapes from a thorn bush, or figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit.

The corrupt tree produces evil fruit. The tree that produces corrupt fruit will be cut down and burned by fire.

Therefore, by their fruits you shall know them. The good man, out of the treasure of his heart, will produce what is good. The evil man will produce what is evil. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven -- only those who do the will of my father who is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day of final judgment, Lord, didn’t we prophecy in your name, didn’t we cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works?

I will confess to them, I never knew you: Go away from me, you workers of lawlessness.
