Jesus set his face toward Jerusalem and sent messengers ahead to the village of the Samaritans to make things ready for him. But when Jesus arrived in Samaria, he was not welcomed or received.
When James and John saw how their Lord was treated, they asked if they could call down fire from heaven on them. Jesus rebuked them for this, and went on to the next village. |
