29. Jesus' Temporary Residence Jesus left Nazareth and made Capernaum his new headquarters. Capernaum is by the sea, within the borders of Zebulun and Napthali. This fulfilled a prophecy of Isaiah. The people who lived there in darkness saw a great light.
